François is a Partner and leads the Actuarial practice in Paris, France. A certified actuary, François Beugin, has over two decades of experience and expertise in risk assessment and financial evaluation of transformational transactions for leading financial institutions, especially insurance groups. He and his team provide their expertise and knowledge through cutting-edge actuarial consulting services to help clients manage and assess their risk, solvency and capital in miscellaneous reporting and regulatory frameworks, as well as quantitatively analyze their transformational transactions and strategy. Mainly focused on France, the scope of the projects of the team also expands beyond, especially in Europe, also in coordination with the wider Actuarial practice of Oliver Wyman comprising over 500 actuaries globally.
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, François Beugin lead for five years the Actuarial Risk, Finance and Data Modeling practice at a leading Big 4 accounting firm in France. He has also worked a decade for the Financial Institutions Group of two leading global investment banks, with a focus on the coverage of major European insurance accounts and their transactions. Prior to that, he worked couple of years as a actuarial senior consultant in a leading global actuarial advisory firm.
With an engineering degree of the Ecole Polytechnique and a master’s degree in Economics, Finance and Actuarial Science of the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique, he initially qualified as an actuary with professional experience acquired in the actuarial departments of two major French insurance companies, and has been a certified actuary of the French Institute of Actuaries thereafter.
